Ode to New Morning

Already again the new ray comes sliding . . .

Cutting a time worn trail over the slat

Which has seen many other mornings like

this . . .

     It waited . . .

While murrnurings and warm whispers

Punctuated the tops of highs and lows . . . .

A new morning started a while ago . . .

     Daylight finds day begun with

Satisfied smile and languid lip . . .

Unspoken stories stream from lidded look . . . .

Delay . . . again dozing in our other orbits,

As sages of ages keep watchful eye . . . .

                                              Even Joseph.

I salute you sunshine . . . always shine near my love . . .

your glow is always freshest, newest,

like rivulets and can't be kept away . . .

I hope your light will awake

me many times in this place

as you bring me and a new morning

                                              together again . . . .
